Daniel Chocolates

Packaging, photography and digital design for a Vancouver chocolatier.

Overview

A design partnership across the whole product experience.

Daniel Chocolates is a Vancouver-based premium chocolatier serving retail, tourism, hotels and business customers. I joined in-house in November 2021 and continued as a freelance partner, working across packaging, web, ecommerce, product photography and campaign creative.

Packaging

Different occasions. One recognizable brand.

I designed packaging across the core range, seasonal releases, tourism gifts, custom orders and business gifting. Each project had different production needs, formats and client requirements.

Clear shelf hierarchy and practical structures kept the products gift-ready and recognizable across boxes, wraps and labels. The visual treatment could change with the occasion while the underlying brand stayed consistent.

Campaigns & catalogues

Making seasonal collections easy to explore.

I created seasonal catalogues, email campaigns, social content, product photography and video around Daniel’s products. Business-gift emails, holiday catalogues and social posts used clear product hierarchy and seasonal styling to make the offer easy to understand and act on.

Ecommerce

A clearer path from occasion to product.

I designed and built WordPress ecommerce experiences for pages that needed more than a basic shop layout, including wedding chocolates. I organized the customer journey around clear product information, simple navigation and calls to action, keeping the experience consistent with the packaging and wider brand.

Photography

Letting the product lead.

I photographed chocolates, packaging and gift sets for web, social and campaign use. Clear composition, controlled lighting and product styling brought out the materials and details.

Some photographs stayed simple and direct; others used retouching, scene construction and composition to build fuller campaign visuals.
